OCALA, Fla. (AP) — A high school senior in Florida is being recognized for having never missed a day of school.

News outlets report Nicole Perrone has had perfect attendance for her 13 years in the Marion County Public Schools system.

Perrone attends Forrest High School in Ocala. Officials say she started kindergarten in 2006 at Greenway Elementary before moving on to Fort King Middle School.

The school district recognized Perrone for her "outstanding emphasis on a complete education."

The 2,340 days she has spent in school has already paid off. She received an Associate of Arts degree from the College of Central Florida before even graduating from high school thanks to the dual enrollment program.

Perrone plans to begin classes at the University of South Florida in June.
