ORLANDO, Fla. — A Florida Highway Patrol trooper gave a tearful sign off last week after serving 36 years with the agency.
Video posted on FHP Orlando’s Twitter site shows Lt. Tim Freebern offer his find goodbyes to his coworkers.
“It has been a privilege and an honor to serve the residents of the state of Florida and work with the members of the highway patrol,” an emotional Freebern said.
A dispatcher can be heard congratulating him on his service, saying he will be missed and to enjoy his retirement.
The tweet has received more than 5,000 likes and hundreds of retweets.
