(WTVJ, NBC NEWSCHANNEL) Dramatic video footage showing a garbage truck falling off an interstate ramp in Miami last February was released by the Florida Highway Patrol Monday.
The dashcam shows the truck crash through a guardrail on Florida’s I-95 and fall nearly 100 feet to the ground -- landing in the parking lot of a neighborhood park.
Amazingly the truck landed right side up, but the driver had been ejected from the vehicle.
He was taken to a local hospital where he was treated for serious injuries and released.
Witnesses and family members said it was a miracle he survived.
Police have not said what caused the accident.
