Gov. DeSantis scheduled to take infrastructure tour in Miami on Wednesday morning

MIAMI, Fla. — Gov. Ron DeSantis will return to South Florida on Wednesday morning to focus on transportation and infrastructure.

The Governor is set to meet with Florida Department of Transportation Secretary Kevin Thibault at 1201 NE 2nd Avenue in Miami for an infrastructure tour, according to the Governor's office.

Later in the afternoon, the two will travel to Central Florida and hold a similar infrastructure tour in Auburndale.

Since he was sworn in on Jan. 8, Gov. DeSantis has made the following announcements:

• Jan 9: Appointed Judge Barbara Lagoa of Miami to the Florida Supreme Court

• Jan 10: Called for the South Florida Water Management District board to resign during a visit to Stuart

• Jan. 11: Suspended Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel

• Jan. 14: Appointed Judge Robert Luck to the Florida Supreme Court

• Jan. 15: Targeted Airbnb’s policies in the West Bank of Israel

• Jan. 17: Sought to end a ban on smokable medical marijuana in Florida

• Jan. 18: Suspended Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Susan Bucher

• Jan. 18: Rescinded 46 last-minute appointments by former Gov. Rick Scott

• Jan. 22: Appointed Carlos Muñiz to the Florida Supreme Court
