The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission is investigating the discovery of a dead body in Lake Okeechobee.
FWC said it was notified by Clewiston Police Thursday night just before 6:30 p.m. that fishermen found a man unresponsive in the water near Rocky Point.
Officials identified the man as 75-year-old Robert Wayne Phelps of Clewiston.
They said his fishing boat was found nearby.
