Two Miami Gardens police officers responded to a recent call that was anything but routine.

Dispatch sent them to a gas station in the middle of the night to investigate a report of an alligator.

When they arrived they found a small gator inside the building.

The department said the officers are skilled wildlife handlers, but the intruder didn't seem to put up much of a fight.

The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission recommended that the men relocate the reptile to its normal habitat. That's what happened after a few photos were taken to document the capture.
