Florida mother missing for 6 weeks found dead in Georgia

OCALA, Fla. — The Marion County Sheriff's Office said a Florida mother missing for six weeks has been found dead.

According the Marion County Sheriff's Office, the body of Casei Jones, 32, was located near Brantley County, Georgia.

Jones’ family reported her missing Saturday night, along with her four children: Cameron Bowers, 10, Preston Bowers, 5, Mercalli Jones, 2, and Aiyana Jones, 1, after her family had not seen her for six weeks.

Detectives are continuing their investigation regarding the missing children.

Jones’ husband, Michael Waye Jones Jr, 38, has also been located in Georgia and is currently being questioned in connection to Casei’s death.

The sheriff's office said a warrant has been issued for his arrest for second-degree homicide.
