An officer was hit by a car and a suspect was injured in a police-involved shooting in North Miami Friday, officials said.
The incident was reported in the area of Northeast 143rd Street and 2nd Avenue.
North Miami Police officials said the suspect suffered non-life threatening injuries. The suspect was taken to Aventura Hospital, Miami-FDade Fire Rescue officials said.
The officer's exact condition was unknown. Police haven't said what led to the incident.
