SOUTH DAYTONA, Fla. (AP) — Investigators in central Florida have released video of a vehicle they think may have carried the gunman who shot out the window of a Republican Party office.

South Daytona Police Capt. Mark Cheatham says he hopes someone will recognize the dark car that drove past the building at 1:30 a.m. Monday and call authorities. He says the car is suspicious because it was driving without lights in the middle of the night.

Police said Tuesday that the bullets fired into the windows of the Republican Executive Committee of Volusia County have been sent to a lab for testing.

No one was inside at the time of the shooting, another escalation of tensions with less than a week to go before Election Day.
