Cops: Man arrested after impersonating marshal

KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) — Authorities arrested a central Florida man they say posed as a police officer to allegedly keep his son out of trouble.

The Osceola County Sheriff's Office says David McClenney was arrested Friday after a woman reported he had come to her home posing as a U.S. Marshal to confront her son.

The woman told investigators her son had recorded a video of a school bus fight and posted it online. She said McClenney forced her son to delete the video.

Detectives later tracked McClenney down at an amateur football game, where he was working as a team medic.

The sheriff's office says McClenney told detectives he was not a medic and admitted confronting the boy.

He was charged with suspicion of impersonating a police officer and a medic and was not immediately available for comment.
