LEE COUNTY, Fla. -- People camped out early in front of Hertz Arena Tuesday night, awaiting President Donald Trump’s rally in Southwest Florida.

It's scheduled for 7 p.m. Wednesday at Hertz Arena in Estero.

“It’s just love here. It’s a love fest!” said Gene Huber, also known as Trump’s super fan.

“We get to know each other. The crowds you stand next to in line…standing here for hours and hours. It’s just respect,” he said.

“You find people who believe the way you do. There’s safety in numbers,” said another supporter.

She added it's safety that the president is working to keep. “And our President is fighting for us. Us. All of us. Every one of us,” she added.

"Latinos for Trump!” said Freddy Aldana who drove from Miami to hear the president speak.  “To come and spend the night in line and hopefully watch the President,” Aldana added.

Many remained on the scene all night long and the crowds continued to grow early Wednesday morning.

The President will arrive in Southwest Florida aboard Air Force One, landing at Southwest Florida International Airport.

President Trump has made several appearances in Southwest Florida in recent years.  He held two campaign rallies in the area as a candidate in 2016; one at the same arena in September, and then another in Naples in October that year.

He returned to Naples in September 2017 to tour the damage from Hurricane Irma.
