LAKELAND, Fla. — Publix is putting an end to one-way aisles in some of its store locations.
According to the company, the one-way markings have been taken up in stores that aren't under a local ordinance requiring it.
The measure was part of the safety changes implemented by the Lakeland-based chain because of COVID-19. Other measures, like required face masks and plexiglass barriers, are still in place.
Hi Tim. We implemented one-way aisles initially to help our customers understand and practice social distancing and over time, we've adopted it into our routines. •Allison
