ORLANDO, Fla. (AP) — A SeaWorld protester dressed as an orca was arrested after he held a sit-in in the middle of a luggage carousel at Orlando International Airport.
Bryan Wilson was charged with misdemeanor trespassing on property after a warning.
Another protester left the scene after being warned that an arrest was imminent.
A police report says Wilson refused to move.
The protesters held signs saying, "SeaWorld: Orcas Deserve Better" and "SeaWorld Hurts Orcas."
Police officers say the baggage carousel had to be shut down while the protesters sat on an island in the middle of the carousel belt.
He spent the night in jail and was released Wednesday on his own recognizance.
Wilson said Wednesday that any discomfort he faced in jail was nothing compared to what orcas face in captivity.
