Snowbirds injured in Panhandle balcony collapse

OKALOOSA COUNTY, Fla.--  11 people were injured, some seriously, when the second story balcony they were on collapsed in north Florida.

The wooden balcony at a condo in Destin collapsed around 4:40 Wednesday afternoon.

At least three of those suffering minor injuries range in age from the mid-80s to age 90.

No injuries are believed to be life-threatening, according to EMS.

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriff's Office the snowbirds were visiting from Indiana, Kentucky and Wisconsin.
