CAPE CANAVERAL, Fla. — SpaceX launched dozens of satellites into orbit on Wednesday afternoon from the Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
A Falcon 9 rocket blasted off at 3:30 p.m. from the historic Launch Pad 39A.
On board were 60 Starlink internet satellites, which will be used to "deliver high speed broadband internet to locations where access has been unreliable, expensive, or completely unavailable," according to SpaceX.
Just minutes after liftoff, the satellite payload detached from the rocket, and the reusable Falcon 9 successfully landed on a pad in the Atlantic Ocean.
