JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — An investigation into a stolen truck in Jacksonville led to a bizarre discovery on Monday.
The Florida Highway Patrol said David Ayers stole a Ryder box truck with several caskets inside.
Troopers pursued the stolen truck on I-295 Monday morning. The driver eventually pulled over on Martin Luther King, Jr. Blvd. and was arrested.
FHP said there were no bodies inside the caskets.
Ayers is facing several charges including auto theft, fleeing/eluding, and driving with a suspended license.
