GAINESVILLE, Fla.-- An art exhibit is taking aim at an age-old sexual violence myth.

It's called "What Were You Wearing?"

The installation features clothing worn by survivors when they were abused, as well as their personal stories.

The main goal is to promote awareness about sexual violence and to combat victim-blaming.

It's been featured at several colleges around the country but is now on display at the University of Florida.

The project was first launched by the University of Arkansas in 2013.

"What Were You Wearing" will be displayed at U-F through the end April, which is also Sexual Assault Awareness Month.
