A wildfire covering 1,700 acres is burning 13 miles northwest of Coral Springs in the Loxahatchee Preserve, according to the Florida Forest Service.
The fire is not threatening any homes or structures. There are no road closures.
Officials say the fire was caused by a lightning strike.
