(NBC 6 MIAMI) A woman was killed in an officer-involved crash in Pembroke Pines overnight.
According to police, an officer was traveling eastbound on Pines Boulevard around 2:15 a.m. when he collided with a woman in a white Infinity at 114th Avenue.
Both were taken to Memorial Regional Hospital where the woman died.
Several witnesses tell police that the woman ran a red light and crashed into the officer. Alcohol may have been a factor, based on an initial police investigation.
The officer is listed in stable condition.
Police have shut down eastbound and westbound traffic on Pines Boulevard at 114th Avenue as they investigate.
