FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -- A crane collapsed at a construction site in Florida, injuring a worker.
Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue Battalion Chief Greg May tells news outlets the incident happened around 9 a.m. near Fort Lauderdale Beach.
Television video showed the collapsed crane.
May says the agency's Tactical Rescue Team freed the man by lifting the broken crane.
The man was taken to a hospital. The crane's owner, Tom Krips, told the South Florida Sun Sentinel the worker suffered two broken toes.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
