Participants were given "Parkland Strong" shirts and bright green headbands as they made their way to the high school and back to the club, totaling about 3 miles.

On the way to the school, many stopped by the high school to pay tribute to the lives lost.

“It just helps them understand the purpose behind this and why we stand for kids and do what we do for them,” said participant Patricia DeRosa.

"That's really what Youfits is about ... They care about the community is a concept I wanted to bring and everybody just embraced it and we ended up having an amazing turnout, so it was a success,” said Youfit fitness director Ronnie Douglas.

Youfit also donated $1 per person, per mile for those affected by the tragedy.
