The Walt Disney Company said Tuesday they have committed more than $1 million to help relief and recovery efforts for those affected by Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas.

The Category 5 storm slammed into the northeastern Bahamas on Sunday, Monday and Tuesday, killing at least seven people.

“The Walt Disney Company stands with the people of The Bahamas affected by Hurricane Dorian,” said Disney Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Robert A. Iger in a written statement. “We hope our $1 million donation will provide much-needed relief and help our neighbors, colleagues, and all those impacted by this devastating storm begin the long process of recovery as they work to put their lives and communities back together.”
