A photo of two men surfing on a turtle in Australia is sparking outrage.
Authorities said the incident is being investigated and the offenders could face a $20,000 fine, according to a report from Daily Mail UK.
The image was posted to one of the men’s Instagram accounts with the caption,“'Surfed a tortoise on zee weekend. gnarly duddddeeeee “
Reports say before the image was deleted, members of the public copied and posted the photo in an effort to find the men.
In a Facebook post, workers at the Queensland National Parks praised the public for contacting them about the incident.
