'Singing' tiger has no roar, just a high-pitched cry

Every child knows that tigers roar, right? Well, not this one.

An 8-month-old tiger in a Russian zoo is known for its musical cries.

Sherhan does not utter the fierce roar usually associated with the big cats.

It's not a "meow" either.

The zoo says the young tiger has been making these singing sounds ever since he was a little cub.

Sherhan is one of four tigers born at the "Forest Fairytale" zoo in Siberia last summer.

The zoo says he uses his vocal talent to attract his mother's attention.
