YAOUNDE, Cameroon (AP) — Authorities say at least seven people are dead and 30 others wounded in northern Cameroon after the latest suicide attack blamed on Boko Haram militants.
Col. Jacob Kodji said a second suicide bomber killed only himself as security forces approached him on Friday.
The town of Kolofata in Cameroon's far north has been repeatedly attacked by Boko Haram militants from across the border in Nigeria. In September, suicide bombers killed nine civilians in Kolofata and wounded 18 others.
Boko Haram has waged a six-year insurgency against the Nigerian government.
The Islamic militants began stepping up their attacks earlier this year on neighboring Cameroon and other countries that have supported the Nigerian military's effort to crush Boko Haram.
