Fort Pierce Utilities Authority hardship funds exhausted

FORT PIERCE, Fla. — The Fort Pierce Utilities Authority announced Tuesday its hardship funds have been exhausted due to the overwhelming response to the hardship affidavit program.

Approximately 200 customers received payment assistance to prevent service disconnections.

The FPUA is looking for additional sources to replenish the fund. Meanwhile, the agencies listed below may be able to offer assistance with utility bills.
