Paige Meers kicked off her dream of owning a coffee shop business when she drove to Indiana to pick up her vintage camper.
"On my days off I used to go to local coffee shops and just drink coffee, and one night I was laying in bed (looking) on Pinterest, and I saw a cute little vintage camper. I thought it would be a great idea, so I just went for it," Meers said.
Morning Magnolia Coffee Bar, located at 2370 NE Dixie Hwy. in Jensen Beach, opened its window to coffee lovers a month ago.
"It's a 1964 Shasta [camper]," Meers said. "I really wanted something unique and vintage to get people's attention."
Meers decided to take the leap and start her own business during the COVID-19 pandemic because she said she wanted to do something for herself.
"I worked for a vet's office for seven years. I love animals, but I also wanted to get out of the corporate world. When I had the idea of doing it at first, I was wary about it because of COVID. I did have struggles with getting loans, but with my family back up and friends support, I was able to proceed with my dream and just go for it," Meers said.
