BOCA RATON, Fla. — Many parents are left wondering if they will have a summer camp for their children this summer or if they feel comfortable sending them to camps.

One option for parents is online learning. Boca Raton mother Nikki Warris said her two daughters have been using Time4Learning after their schools switched to virtual learning.

"My older one, I had to pull," Warris said. " I pulled her out of school, registered her as home school and threw her right onto the program and she is doing amazing," Warris said.

Time4Learning founder John Edelson said parents have started asking about online portions as an alternative to summer camps.

"What is flustering for parents who booked their kids in summer programs and all of this is crumbling right before their eyes," Edelson said.

He said they offer a six-week program that can help kids avoid the summer slide and help provide daily activities.

Warris said she would 100% recommend Time4Learning as an alternative to summer camp. She said her 5-year-old is able to sign on and handle the work on her own.

"They know they have five days to complete this work," Warris added. "If they finish it all in one day, they are done for the week."
