WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A hiring event this month in Florida is helping connect veterans with new careers.
CareerSource has partnered with the Florida National Guard and the Florida Department of Veterans' Affairs for the virtual job fair on Nov. 12 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The annual Paychecks for Patriots event helps employers with job openings find and hire military and veteran candidates.
CareerSource Palm Beach County said over the past seven years, more than 6,280 veteran candidates and military family members who participated in Paychecks for Patriots events across the state have gained employment.
Veterans should click here to register for the event.
Veterans are asked to also register with the state job board Employ Florida after registering for this event.
