The Miami Dolphins ended the preseason on a down note with a 21-10 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Thursday.

The game which was played in the new-look Hard Rock Stadium gave Miami a 2-2 record in the preseason. The final score is rather meaningless, and the contest should help Miami's coaching staff make some roster decisions.

Zac Dysert started for Miami with Matt Moore still sidelined due to a concussion. As is the norm around the league, Ryan Tannehill was given the full game off. Dysert was able to run the offense for the entire first half as he looked to win the backup job for the first week of the season.

Dysert ended up going 10-16 for 85 yards with no touchdowns and one interception. If Moore is not ready for the first game, either Dyset or Brandon Doughty will back Tannehill up. Doughty was behind center for the entire second half and went 8-12 for 98 yards.

The Dolphins saw some big moments from their defense with two interceptions. Bobby McCain and Tony Lippett each had one INT. John Denney also recovered a fumble for Miami.

With most of the starters sitting for the Dolphins in this one, a lot of roster hopefuls were given chances to play. Jay Ajayi entered the preseason in a battle with Arian Foster for the starting gig at running back. Foster did not play in this one and Ajayi did. In his three tries, Ajayi tallied 13 yards and seems set to be Foster's backup. Daniel Thomas also saw some work on the ground and scored Miami's lone TD of the game.

Miami's regular season will get underway on September 11th in Seattle. The game against the Seahawks will begin at 4:05 p.m.
