WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — NFL owners won't be converging in Palm Beach later this month.

The NFL announced Thursday that the league's annual meeting, scheduled for March 29-April 1, has been canceled amid ongoing coronavirus concerns.

According to a news release, all business matters that were on the agenda for that meeting will take place during the spring meeting in May.

"This decision was made consistent with the league's primary concern to protect the health of club and league employees and the public while enabling the league to continue with its essential business operations," the NFL said in a statement.

There was no announcement regarding changes to the NFL Draft next month in Las Vegas.

The NFL will continue to "closely monitor developments" and is "prepared to make any changes necessary as circumstances warrant."
