NASSAU, Bahamas (AP) — Tiger Woods went through a seven-hole stretch without missing a shot, and 18 holes without making a bogey. The result was a 7-under 65 on Friday in the Hero World Challenge that at least assured he wouldn't be playing alone again.

Woods played as a single at Albany when Justin Rose withdrew with back problems.

He made two superb par saves, one of them at the par-3 eighth from a sandy lie near a bush. That's when he told his caddie, Joe LaCava, he was determined not to drop a shot the rest of the way. The only brush with bogey came at the 16th, and Woods holed a 25-foot putt. It was the most excited he was all day, pumping his fist toward the cup and slapping his putter.
