A crash killed three people Tuesday evening on Interstate 95 southbound between State Road 512 in Sebastian to State Road 60 in Vero Beach.
At 4:52 p.m., a 2004 Ford F250 was traveling in the northbound lanes when it crossed over into the southbound lanes and struck two vehicles, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The driver of the truck, Rex Allen Engle, 49, of Vero Beach, Fla., was flown to Lawnwood Medical Center in serious condition.
Engle’s truck hit a 2015 Toyota Camry, killing Cleveland Odom, 61, of Delray Beach and Angelica Odom, 22, of Boynton Beach.
The truck also hit a 2000 Ford Focus, driven by John P. Weed, 38, of Newton Falls, Ohio. Weed was also killed.
FHP said the cause of the crash remains under investigation.
