In the tropics, we're watching a tropical wave in the eastern Atlantic that will soon be moving into the central Atlantic. Right now the wave is struggling as it interacts with the international tropical convergence zone, but it will likely strengthen some this weekend as it moves into a more favorable environment for development.
We have a long time to track this disturbance as it moves west.
Tropical Storm Don continues to move west-northwest with no change in strength. Maximum winds are still at 50 mph.
A turn to the north is expected where Don will eventually dissipate in much colder waters.
