Breezy sunshine for the weekend with a few spotty showers

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A deep-layered ridge will continue to dominate our weather pattern this weekend. Gusty northeast winds of 25 mph will continue with a tight pressure gradient through the weekend.

This will result in rough marine conditions with a small craft advisory, high surf advisory and high risk of rip currents in place. In addition, minor to moderate coastal flooding will be possible at times of high tide along low-lying areas near the beach.

Look for a 20% to 30% chance of fast-moving showers on the breeze. The movement will be from the east to the west.

High temperatures will range from the mid to upper 80s with lows in the low 70s near the coast.

Moisture goes up slightly Sunday into Monday as the ridge shifts east due to an approaching upper-level low.

In the tropics:

Tropical Storm Tammy has regenerated and is located a couple of hundred miles east of Bermuda. Tammy will continue in the northern Atlantic until it weakens next Wednesday, but it won't bother land.

Also, we are watching a broad area of low pressure over the SW Caribbean Sea. This area could slowly develop as it generally moves northward. It has a 30% chance of development in the next seven days.
