WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Sean dropped to a tropical depression late Wednesday night after becoming a tropical storm in the Atlantic Ocean. It's not expected to pose a threat to the Caribbean Sea or Florida.
According to the 11 p.m. advisory from the National Hurricane Center, Sean has maximum sustained winds of 35 mph and is moving west-northwest at 13 mph. Sean was about 860 miles west-northwest of the Cabo Verde Islands.

WPTV First Alert Weather meteorologist Jennifer Correa said Sean will stay over the open waters of the central tropical Atlantic and will not impact the Caribbean or Florida.
Also a broad area of low pressure several hundred miles to the south-southeast of the Cabo Verde Islands is producing a large area of showers and thunderstorms. Formation chance through seven days: 30%.
