Our February outlook called for cooler-than-normal temperatures this month, and that seems to be panning out.
The jet stream is diving as far south as Miami this week, leading to a noticeable drop in temperatures.
Weather patterns typically change very quickly; however, this pattern will change little over the next 7 days.
A nearly insurmountable dip in the jet will send several reinforcing shots of cooler air down the Eastern Seaboard, which will lead to temperatures 10 to 15 degrees below-average for East Central and South Florida.

The party responsible for the cool down today is moving up the East Coast and sent a major northeast swell into Florida's Atlantic Coast.
Surfers were chomping at the bits.
The waves will be similar Tuesday, but I can't promise that the other shots of cool air will give us a repeat event.
