Hear Thomas Rhett's new single 'Craving You' with Maren Morris

Thomas Rhett hasn't been shy about the fact that new music was on the horizon as he prepares to debut his third studio album.

Our first sample of his new project came in the form of a single which pairs him with fellow country performer Maren Morris. The single, "Craving You", has pop influences, a territory that is not unfamiliar for either artist.

In a recent interview with GQ, Rhett shared he was not scared of blurring the lines when it made sense for a particular song.

When asked about how his first headlining tour is going, which kicked off in February, Rhett told GQ that while he is excited to have the top bill at 10,000 to 20,000 seat venues, he is already thinking long-term about how to impact the live performance at a level of pop stars such as Taylor Swift.

Rhett shared that he has a lot of respect for the 27-year-old who has developed herself into a global brand. Few country artists have been able to achieve the level of broad reach their pop counterparts find globally. Garth Brooks, who just this week had to add five shows to accommodate demand in a Midwest market, stands out among an elite crowd of country entertainers that have found such success.

If you are eager to catch a live performance of the new single you will have your first chance during the ACM Awards which airs on April 2nd from Las Vegas. Rhett is nominated for Song of the Year for "Die A Happy Man" (a track he already picked up a CMA Award for in the fall) as well as Male Vocalist of the Year.
